Karim Benzema and Cristiano Ronaldo both scored hat-tricks as Real Madrid hammered Levante 8-0 in the first leg of their Copa del Rey fifth round tie.

Almeria claimed a slender first-leg advantage as they beat Real Mallorca 4-3 thanks to Leonardo Ulloa’s hat-trick. Ulloa twice gave the hosts the lead in the first half, but they were pegged back first by Jonathan De Guzman, then Victor. Goals from Kalu Uche and Ulloa made it 4-2 before Pierre Webo pulled one back to give Mallorca hope in the second leg.

Elsewhere, Simao Sabrosa’s penalty gave Atletico Madrid a 1-0 win over Espanyol, while goals from Miku and Pedro Rios handed Getafe a 2-1 win at Real Betis, who pulled one back late on through Jorge Molina’s spot-kick.

Indonesia secured a place in the final of the AFF Suzuki Cup on Sunday, defeating Philippines 1-0 thanks to a Cristian Gonzales’ first-half goal.
